As the name suggests, this 8-day sojourn is a combination of two of the most popular treks near Manali, giving you a truly unforgettable hiking experience. Though there are a few moderately difficult sections in the trail, the expedition is essentially easy, and therefore anyone can undertake it.

The exciting journey begins from Rumsu Base Camp, where you get to indulge in rock climbing and rappelling. An expert hiker will be there to guide you about the various trekking techniques. The second day takes you to the pristine Solang Valley, where you will go on a short trek to Anjani Mahadev. There will be plenty of time for you to revel in the allure of the scenic spot on your own. On the third day of the excursion begins Beas Kund trekking, which brings you mid way, to the campsite of Bakarthatch. The enchanting sights of Beas Kund on the 4th day of the voyage will leave you spell bound. That’s not all as your eyes will also feast on the vistas of Hanuman Tibba, Shitidhar, Manali and Friendship Peaks.

You walk back to the Solang Valley on the fifth day to begin the second section of the tour – the trek to Bhrigu Lake. From here, an adventurous road journey will bring you to Gulaba, and the 6th day ends with you breathing in the fresh Himalayan air at Rohlikohli. The next day gets you to the altitude of more than 14000 feet to the appealing Bhrigu Lake. You will definitely be left awestruck by the views of the surrounding landscape. The enthralling trip ends in Manali, from where you are free to disperse.

Day

One of the most popular treks near Manali, it begins from Rumsu Base Camp. Report here in the morning and savour a hearty breakfast. Spend some time admiring the beauty of the surroundings, and post lunch, indulge in adventure activities like rock climbing and rappelling. Later, you will also go for an acclimatisation walk, which will be followed by some light snacks.

In the evening, an orientation programme will be held to introduce you to various trekking and camping techniques. Thereafter, you can move to your camp to sleep.

This day of the Beas Kund and Bhrigu Lake trek takes you to the mesmerising Solang Valley. A realm of towering peaks and sprawling grasslands, the Solang Valley is a haven for a nature lover. Over the years, the scenic spot has also emerged as a prominent adventure sports destination, luring thrill seekers to try paragliding and zorbing.

The 35-km jeep ride will give you aplenty opportunities to marvel at the Himalayan peaks.Post lunch in the serene Solang Valley, embark on a short walk to the revered Anjani Mahadev. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the beauty of Solang on your own. Later, enjoy an overnight stay in your comfortable tents.

Freshen up in the morning, and then start trekking towards Bakarthatch. The former section of the hike will bring you to Dhundi via road. Stop here for some time to have lunch, and thereafter, continue the Beas Kund trekking excursion. This section of the hike is a moderate ascent, taking you through a dense forest of pine and oaks. On reaching Bakarthatch, spend the night in your tent.

Start early in the morning, and commence trekking towards Beas Kund. One of the most scenic spots in Himachal Pradesh, it is believed to be the source of the Beas River. A legend associated with the site says that sage Vyas, who wrote the Hindu epic Mahabharata, meditated here.

The ascent is moderately difficult and will be a small test for your strength. On reaching Beas Kund, your eyes will be treated to magnificent sights of Shitidhar, Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak and Manali Peak. After spending some time here, descend to the Bakarthatch campsite, and enjoy a stay in your cosy tents.

Following breakfast, begin the hike from Bakarthatch to the Solang Valley. Upon reaching, enjoy a good night’s sleep in your camp in the picturesque valley.

Relish a hearty meal in the morning, and then commence a jeep ride to the quaint village of Gulaba. On reaching here, begin trekking towards Rohlikohli campsite. During the hike, you will also pass two streams, namely Chor Nallah and Kohli Nallah. The 5-6 hour journey is moderately difficult and filled with infinite photography opportunities. Astonishing vistas of the Solang Valley will welcome you to the Rohlikohli campsite. Spend the night under the star-lit Himalayan sky.

Early morning breakfast is followed by the trek to Bhrigu Lake. Situated at an altitude of over 14000 feet, the magnificent Bhrigu Lake sits majestically, surrounded by sky-piercing peaks of the Himalayas. The lake is believed to be named after Maharishi Bhrigu, who meditated in the area and took bath in the pristine lake.

A 4-hour hike from Rohlikohli will bring you to your destination. On reaching here, enjoy your packed lunch in the serene environs of the lake, and then commence the descent back to Rohlikohli. The night is spent in comfy tents at the campsite.

In the morning, start hiking down towards Gulaba. After your arrival here, continue the on-foot journey and reach Manali, where this amazing sojourn ends.
